Hollowed out logs are excellent habitat for honeybees. After all, tree hollows are their ancient and natural habitat where they continue to survive in the wild.
Log hives are also excellent habitat for native pollinators as they take up home in the cracks and micro cavities in the log and also inside the log above and below the honeybee nest.
Log Hives are typically 4′ tall and 20″ circumference with 12″ hollow from top to bottom and can be stage on the ground or elevated at least 15′ into the tree canopy where it is strapped down vertically or horizontally
